Just outside of Columbus Ohio is a pumpkin patch with fields of pumpkins, a corn maze, a bouncy area, goats, chickens, an area to play checkers, another area to play tether ball, and slides as well as many other fun things to see and do. It’s called The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek. This year it was the place for Michael’s first field trip. Which of course meant his first bus ride!!!
After stopping for coffee, you know me and coffee 😉 I drove to the farm hoping that I would be either arriving before the buses or just behind them. I ended up being just behind them and was out of the car and over to the buses waiting to get my group assignment before all the kids had stepped off the bus. They were so excited!!!
Michael lucked out to get in a group of 4 kids and 3 adults. It made it easy for us to break off and do whatever each kid wanted to do, but first the entire group of 3 classes and all the parents took a ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin. We sat on the hayride as their farm dog ran along side and finally made our way to the back of the fields. The kids took off and picked out their perfect pumpkin. Michael was very proud of his pumpkin….although you can’t see it in the photo because of how he’s holding it ;P
We took a short trip in to the corn maze and then came back out. Although the idea of it was fun, the kids were more into bouncing, tether ball, and even checkers played with little pumpkins.
Feeding the goats was a highlight too!
How cute is the pumpkin tic tac toe and checkers idea!!?!?!
And I couldn’t share this without sharing a couple photos of Michael bouncing! He LOVED it!!!!
Michael’s first field trip to a farm outside of Columbus Ohio was a success! Some kids wanted to ride back to school with their parents, but not my kiddo. He opted for the bus ride. And even though it broke my momma heart just a little, I was so happy for him to get that bus riding experience he had been wanting for so long. Love this boy!
