Saturday morning the sky was covered with clouds and cool for the beginning of this Grove City wedding. It started off early with a drive through Starbucks for a cold brew coffee and then on to the hotel to meet Carolyn, the beautiful bride. I was excited for the day because it was the wedding day of a long time friend and it looked like we had a 0% chance of rain with awesome cloud covered skies which would be perfect for photos.
I arrived at the hotel and was warmly greeted by Carolyn and her bridesmaids, Jess and Liz. The room was filled with music and laughter. It made capturing photos of some details of the day and the 3 of them getting ready a breeze. I later would meet Roger, Carolyn’s brother and bride’s man.
This detail was incredibly special to photograph. It was a gift from Roger and it had their mother’s ashes in it. A gorgeous way to include their late mom and keep her close.
We headed to a local park for the first look after everyone was dressed and ready for the day. It was one of my favorites because these two are so much fun together!!! They were silly with one another and there was a lot of laughter filled with love.
Oh, this is Jimmy! 🙂 He’s the groom. Check out his suit!!!! Love it!! And the socks & tie both had dinosaurs!
Aren’t they amazing!??!!?
LOVE this bridal party!!!!! <3
I’m so happy they decided to do a first look, because as the ceremony progressed, the rain started to fall. It rained for the rest of the evening….on and off, more on than off, but they didn’t let it damper their celebration. Everyone moved inside and hung out talking, eating donuts, and eating dinner while the hardest rain fell on this backyard Grove City wedding. Then as the rain slowed, we moved back out for an evening of smores, dancing, and a surprise rainbow.
Jimmy and Carolyn, I am so happy for both of you!!! I was honored to be a part of your day and share these special moments with you. THANK YOU for inviting me!!!! Love you!!!
