Last weekend I had the honor of finally meeting one of the sweetest couples! We’ve been emailing for the last 8 months or so about their Springfield Ohio wedding day and even though there were a couple hiccups, as there are with every wedding, I would say that it was as close to perfect as anyone could get. I brought along my friend Joy to help capture Madison and Andrew’s day and with her help, we captured so many photos that I’m having to take a little extra time to get them completed. Ha! Not a bad problem to have 😉
I love this sweet moment with Madison and her dad!!
Andrew and Madison met at a mutual friends Christmas party. They had met a few times prior but were in relationships so it was nothing more than realizing they had a great connection.
A few years went by and they happened to meet at the Christmas party again! This time, they were both single. They immediately realized there was something special. Andrew and Madison also realized that although they grew up three minutes from each other in Springfield Ohio, a relationship would take some extra work and dedication because they now lived 500 plus miles apart. They decided to fight to make it work. After a year of long distance dating, they FINALLY ended up in the same place.
Sharing a passion for traveling, Andrew and Madison took a week in March of 2017 to visit Ireland. Sidenote: This is a bucket list country to visit, especially since I’m a bit Irish 🙂 Back to Andrew and Madison.
Madison made a complete itinerary so they’d be able to visit and see everything. They started in Dublin, went North to Belfast, and the Atrium Coast. They made it their own and loved traveling together.
When they made their way to the Giants Causeway, instead of staying on the pathway, they went down a huge hill/cliff into a little bay. Madison said it was absolutely beautiful and she climbed from rock to rock as she watched the sea. As she climbed, she heard Andrew call for her and as she turned around, she saw him down on one knee. It was like everything froze in time and for just a moment it was just the two of them with the crisp air blowing gently on them and the sound of the crashing waves hitting the rocks.
That moment was everything she could have hoped for and I hope that not only was this wedding day, but also their marriage. I hope Madison and Andrew have a life full of joy, love, and adventure.
